As a college professor, I’m passionate about higher education and especially about making sure everyone who wants to pursue their education has the best chance possible to follow their academic dreams. For years I’ve worked with non-profit organizations, teaching college prep courses and coaching high-achieving students through the admissions essay writing process. Through this experience, along with my years of work with undergraduate and graduate students at a top university, I’ve developed an extremely effective process, and my students have gone on to study at some of the best schools in the country. 

 

I know that college admissions officers and graduate school admissions committees are looking for students to tell their story, to show who they really are. I also know how hard that is to do, especially when most top students are trained to write in ways that are safe and effective (at getting grades and passing exams), but not necessarily exciting, passionate, or personal.
